what-we-believeWe believe in the same principles that most Christians do but especially look to the teachings that came from the Protestant Reformation.

We are Presbyterians and believe, as it is explained in our constitution, that only God is Lord of our sense of right and wrong and that it is up to each of us to understand what Christian fundamental truths mean in our lives.

We believe that God has revealed God-self through Christ and that following Christ is just as important as believing in him.

We believe that we are to follow Christ and live as Christ lived and be intimately connected to God, the creator of the universe.

We believe that we are to follow Christ and live as Christ lived be in relationship with all people, especially those who society marginalizes, are poor, and outcast.

We believe that we are to follow Christ and live as Christ lived and work towards the systemic changes God desires for God’s children and creation, even if that means risking our own safety and comfortable station in life and society.

We believe that in a divine and mysterious way the Holy Spirit is among us and that we are invited to join it in doing God’s work that is taking place.
